    Q&A WITH Vicente

Tell me about yourself. Who are you? How old are you? What class do you currently race? When did you start racing? How did you start racing? Etc.

I’m Vicente, 22 years old, and I race in the elite class. Bikes were always a big part of my childhood—they were my absolute favorite “toy.” My older brother and I loved riding and messing around on our bikes. When I was 8, my parents took me to our local track, and it was love at first sight. Shortly after that, I raced my first local competition, and I haven’t stopped since

What are some of your biggest achievements within the sport?
For starters, being a kid who grew up in a small town in Brazli made joining a factory U.S. team feel like a childhood dream come true. Aside from this, i'm proud of being a 4x National Champion, 2023's Latin American Cup Champion, and placing 3rd place in the 2019 Continential Championship.

How long have you been on factory Supercross? What year did you get picked up?
I was chosen for the Supercross Factory team at the start of 2023 after I placed 3rd overall for U23 at the Gator Nationals. I remember it clear as day, first seeing the notification that they were following me and then the message asking about if I was on a team or if I would be interested in joining theirs.

What’s your favorite thing about being a Factory Supercross ride?
My favorite thing, aside from the awesome kits and gear with their amazing design and comfort, would be either my bike or the team. This as been the best bike set up that i've very ridden and the support that the team gives off and on the track has been surreal.

    What’s your current local track?
My current home track would be the own that I have hand built.

What’s your favorite thing about BMX Racing and Why?
My favorite thing about BMX racing would have to be the friends, the experiences, and the places that I get to go, along with the overall lifestyle. I'm also pretty competitive so that feeling rigth before the gate drops is also one of my favorites.

What are your hobbies outside of racing?
Outside of racing I enjoy drawing, spending time with my familyu, and riding my bike on trails.

What are some of your goals outside of BMX Racing?

Some of my goals outside of BMX racing would be building a family and enjoying life.

What is your favorite memory that you've had while racing BMX?

My favorite memories from racing BMX would be the national championship in 2019, during my first year as a Junior, the Grands in 2023 which was mt first time in the U.S. as a factory rider, and then definetly compleing the contruction of my training track.
