Dani the Valedictorian!
We were going to post this story last Thursday right after Dani graduated and was given the honor of Class Valedictorian, but we had a little problem with our website being hacked, so we figured today as she flies off to London for the 2012 UCI Worlds would be an appropriate time.
Being the class Valedictorian is an honor given to the few that carry the highest grade point average and maintain outstanding citizenship, not an easy task.
This year, Dani not only took two of BMX’s highest honors, the 2011 ABA National #1 Am title, but also the 2012 USAC Junior Woman, National Championship, and now has taken her Schools highest honor. The amount of work and dedication that goes into this is an outrageous amount. And Dani has taken it all in stride with a smile on her face and a cookie in her hand.
After returning from the Worlds, Dani will be attending University this fall where she will continue her education and continue down her BMX path as well. Dani has a huge future ahead of her and will do whatever she puts her mind too. Dani is proof positive that you can race BMX and excel in school as well. There is no reason you cannot do both. And do both well.
Dani, we are proud of you!! You Killed it!!
Dani has some ideas up her sleeve to help others that wish to do BMX and continue their education as well, be sure to keep your eyes open for some very cool announcements from Dani about this soon.
More updates about Dani when she lands for the 2012 UCI Worlds this week.
